Torquay Utd striker Lee Phillips today completed his move to Rushden and Diamonds for an undisclosed fee, believed to be around £17500. The 27 year-old hard working frontman signed just 24 hours after Daryl Clare put pen to paper, promising to excite Rushden fans with plenty of goals to boost a play-off push.

Rushden have today announced the signing of prolific Burton Albion striker Daryl Clare on a free transfer. The 29 year-old former Grimsby, Northampton, Cheltenham, Boston, Chester, Crawley and most recently Burton player netted 48 times in 99 appearances at the Pirelli Stadium, helping the Brewers to the play-offs this season.

Rushden left-back Dean Howell has decided to move on to Blue Square Premier champions Aldershot Town, leaving on a free transfer. The much-travelled player had an excellent first season at Nene Park, becoming a fans favourite and picking up 3rd place in the clubs player of the year award.
